ABOUT ME
HI THERE!
My name is Jayna Rumble, and I'm the owner of Jayna Leigh Photography. I have loved photography since I got my first point-and-shoot camera in high school. I went on to study journalism at Michigan State University where I developed a passion for written and visual storytelling.
When I'm not taking photos, I'm a journalism teacher at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools where I teach intro to journalism, yearbook journalism and photojournalism. In the classroom, I teach my students to use all types of mediums to tell meaningful stories about the people in the world around us.
In my classroom, I try to inspire my students to express themselves and to love the people they are. With photography, I strive to capture the unique personalities and identities of my subjects.
In my spare time, I love reading, listening to podcasts, cooking, and spending time with my amazingly supportive husband and our two sweet babies.
